Biography / Research Summary
Many genes involved in developmental pathways are expressed in post-mitotic cells; however their function at this stage is often unclear. I am interested in determining if these genes play a role in neuronal maintenance and if so, do they function in the canonical development pathway or through a novel mechanism to promote neuronal viability.
